Thank you for your interest in this role with Anthem Schools Trust.

Anthem is a multi-academy trust of 11 primary and five secondary schools in the East Midlands, London and the Thames Valley. Together we create ambitious and successful schools where every child thrives. We are supported by Education Development Trust, an international education company that transforms lives by improving education around the world.

The vacancy has arisen following the appointment of the previous postholder to a similar role in a larger Multi-Academy Trust. They were responsible for all five Anthem secondary schools. Moving forward, however, the Trust has ambitions to work cross-phase. One of these five secondary schools has therefore now come under the East Midlands region and the successful candidate will be responsible for the remaining four secondary schools (located in Dunstable, Merton, Oxford and Wokingham) all of which have a good Ofsted grading, plus the potential of one or more primary schools in the longer-term future.

Anthem is at an exciting point in its development, not only striving to raise standards yet further across our schools, but also looking ahead to the Trust’s future and possibilities for growth.

As a member of the Education Executive Team, you should be able to demonstrate that you share our values and will not settle for anything less than the highest possible standards of education for all. Applicants should therefore be able to evidence their impact in terms of rapid and sustainable school improvement, both personally and through others.

The successful candidate will benefit from both support and challenge from the CEO and colleagues within the Education Executive Team as well as high-quality training and mentoring from colleagues within the Trust and beyond.
